Some Marks of Conversion… Oh, What Manner of love!
2 Cor. 5:17 tells us that “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed and the new has come.” When His Spirit comes and resides within there is a desire to love and serve Him that did not exist before. There comes a renewed mind that loves truth and hates evil and injustice (1Jn.1-1Jn4). There comes an enlargement of the heart that is filled with a compassion for the lost that wasn’t there before. A renewed mind is put to work thinking the thoughts of Jesus ie “we have the mind of Christ”. An overwhelming love for The Beloved can nearly take ones breath away, at times, while sitting in His presence. There is a love of the Light: the light of life, the light of exposure, the light of being willing to die for the One who died for you (Jn.3:20-21, 1Jn.1). And of course none of this is possible without The Spirit of Truth, that has taken up residency inside a humble and contrite heart. All of this launches us into a journey of knowing Him and living for and with His Bride. It is a natural outflow of “who He is “ and how He desires to manifest Himself in the earth (thy kingdom come in earth as in heaven). This all breaks down to an eternal love affair that will consumate with the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. What a precious gift the Father has given unto mere men, His children.
